Bye November

Hi Qtees :) Welcome to another weekly post. Our hands were itching to write another blog, haha. Last week was one of the most challenging weeks for us both mentally and physically. We were working on multiple projects under extreme pressure to meet the deadlines and basically pulling all-nighters every single night. We always tell ourselves: “Next month, we’re going to take it easy.” But when the work comes in, it’s so difficult to say ‘no.’ Being self-employed is great! But it also comes with a price. The balance between work and life is extremely blurred. There’s also this constant thought in the back of our mind: “What if this is the opportunity that we couldn’t miss?” Next year’s resolution is definitely to create a healthy balance between life and work.

Because we mostly spent the week creating content and editing, here is another behind the scenes for you Qtees :) But before, we would love to share a few comments that we received from our previous post:

Thank you for enjoying our content Trushna :) Knowing that our Qtees enjoy our content, just makes everything worth it at the end of the day. Thank you for giving us the purpose in life and the motivation to do what we do Qtees. You Qtees have no idea how much you all mean to us.

You should definitely start writing again WheresMyEpiphany?? ! (By the way, love your ID) Digital content has definitely taken over the internet, but I also miss reading blogs. During our high school and college years, a few of our favorite bloggers were Susie Bubble and Style Rookie by Tavi Gevinson. How about you Qtees?

On this beautiful day, we booked a studio to film two different content. One of them was for one of our current favorite sunscreens from Beauty of Joseon called Relief Sun. It contains 30% rice extract, and we love it when skincare brands create products with ingredients that we are familiar with and edible. It’s been over a month since we’ve been testing and using Relief Sun on our own skin, and we are confident enough to recommend it to our Qtees. The content we’ve created will be live sometime this week on our IG, so stay tuned :)

Now let’s talk about this beautiful studio. We were searching for a studio with good sunlight, a kitchen, a bathroom with a sink, and a bed. After surfing the internet for an hour, we finally landed at this studio. We love every detail in this studio, and most importantly, the way how the sun hits the studio was breathtaking.

These are a few props we brought from our home. And YES, those are slices of lemons that we’ve brought from our home, haha. When we create content for advertisements, especially when it comes to Reels, we always try our best to create a storyline. Yes, the product is a focal point, but there has to be a story to tell along with the product! We’d prepare the storyline on a sheet of paper, and until this day, it’s surreal to see how our thoughts come together into actual content.

That is me, crouching on the corner of the room like a Gollum, doing my makeup for the second content… lol

Just at the right time, the rings we ordered from YesStyle arrived! Many of our Qtees DM us about the accessories we wear. Thus, we’ll link it down below, in case interested :)

If you Qtees have been following us for quite a while, you Qtees know that there was one point in our life where we were heavily into wearing bold earrings. But if you have noticed, things have changed, and now we invest more in rings and necklaces. It’s interesting how your interest changes over the year. You feel like you’ll never change, but you DO change. And change is good! It allows you to experience new things, and you get to find out more about yourself.

I just had to take a selfie because I loved the way how this Scandi Hazel Colored Contact Lense from OLENS looked on my eye. I love how it does not look too artificial. Like as if I was naturally born with this eye color…? (You wish…haha)

At the end of shooting, we like to take some time to take a bunch of selfies (and some with weird, unexplainable poses). It’s one of our ways of celebrating the end of hard work: taking some time to fully enjoy the beautiful space and just chill for a bit.

OOTD:

That is Qjin…. lol I have no comment on this photo. I’ll leave it to your imagination Qtees. Please caption this photo in the comment below :)

Here we are, another day at another studio. If you Qtees want to check out what content we’ve created from this studio, check them out below:

We’ve never thought in a million years we’d enjoy wearing a balaclava (the one that we’re wearing in the photo is from an adorable Korean brand called Sinoon). At first, we were a bit skeptical too. “Would this actually look good on us?” “Wouldn’t we look like one of those characters from the South Park?” BUT! Good thing we decided to give it a chance because we absolutely fell in love with these head warmers. And not to mention how practical they are!

Another trend we’ve noticed for this season is these snow boots! AGAIN, it’s the style of boot trend that we’ve never thought of getting ourselves into. Coming from the fact that we were one of those people who never wore UGG boots in the 2000s, this is AMAZING! REVOLUTIONARY! And, again, these boots are so practical for the upcoming winter.

This day was one of the most torturous filmings we’ve ever done. When we arrived at the studio, the studio was so COLD. (Just to let you Qtees know, we had to wear just one layer of T-shirt to film) When we called the owner, the owner said she/he had already turned on the heater before leaving the studio. The owner told us how to increase the temperature, but it did not seem to work at all. Because we didn’t want to waste any more time, we decided to continue filming under the cold temperature. Here is the final content that we’ve created in this studio. We’re laughing here, but on the inside, we were screaming for our jackets and warm cup of tea.

Nonetheless, except for the heater, the studio had everything we needed for filming. But most of all, we loved the kitchen. We never thought the combination of Burgundy and Mustardy Yellow could work so well together. When I see a beautiful kitchen like this, it gives me this urge of wanting to cook something in that kitchen! It’s a shame that this kitchen will never be used to actually cook something other than just taking photos.

Another selfie moment to celebrate(?) the end of hard work :)

Well, that’s the end of this week’s post. Hope you Qtees enjoyed it :) Just a friendly reminder that there’s a new video uploaded on our channel where we take you Qtees to raw and unfiltered behind the scene of life as content creators. We’ll see you Qtees again this Thursday. Stay warm and happy. Love you Qtees <3
